Christian Fellowship in a Church Home

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25 KJV)

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:34 KJV)

The local church is not an organization, but an organism - a family of born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who assemble together regularly for worship, prayer, and fellowship.  This is not merely the stated objective of the congregation as a whole, but the life purpose of each member of the local church.

Our people are a friendly, loving family, committed to the spiritual and material well-being of each member.  Recognizing that each Christian has been endowed by God with certain spiritual gifts, each person is valued and appreciated for his or her role in the Body of Christ.

Each member of the church is accepted as a brother or sister in Christ.  While God has ordained some to positions of authority within the local church, the entire congregation is committed to the edification and encouragement of the brethren.

The people of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church are not merely engaged in a formality of worship as a routine, but often fellowship together after the church services and in their various homes.  The church enjoys monthly times of fellowship and celebrations of birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
